Mycoplasma Antibody

Important Note

The Mycoplasma Antibody test is a "screening" test that is identifying the presence or absence of an IgM Antibody formed by the patient towards the Mycoplasma pneumonia organism.  These IgM antibody screening tests should only be used to determine a recent or past exposure to Mycoplasma pneumonia organism.  These tests do not definitively diagnose an active infection.
