Specimen Requirements

Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL, any volume less, will be rejected
Collection Instructions: Specimens are only accepted Monday-Friday, 6:30am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. Deliver to the lab within 1 hour of collection.
Specimen Stability
Keep the specimen container close to body temperature by placing in a
pocket or inside clothing. Specimens should remain between 20°C (68°F) and 40°C (104°F)

pH: >7.2
WBC concentration: <1 M/mL
Sperm Concentration: ≥15 M/mL
Total Motility: ≥40 %
Sperm morphology: ≥4%
Motile Sperm Concentration: ≥6M/mL
Sperm Motility Index: ≥80
Total Sperm: ≥39 M
Total Motile Sperm: ≥16 M
Total Morphologically Normal Sperm: ≥ 2 M
Appearance: Clear/White/Grey
Viscosity: Normal
Debris/Round Cells: None/Few <10%

Lab Handling
The entire specimen must be collected in a suitable container by masturbation only. Specimens collected by coitus interruptus, orally or in a condom will be rejected.
