Specimen Requirements
Preferred:
Container/Tube: Fresh Random Stool
Minimum Volume: 1 g or 1 ml
Collection Instructions:
Patient should be on a diet containing at least 60 grams of fat. The patient should not use suppositories, barium, bismuth, or mineral oil within 1 week before the specimen is collected. Oily material (e.g., creams and lubricants, etc) shoul d be avoided prior to collection of the specimen.
