Specimen Requirements

No specimen needed if ABO/Rh is on file.

An order for ABO/Rh will reflex if no blood type is on file.

Turn Around Time

approximately 30 minutes, longer if a blood type is needed

Specimen Stability

Thawed plasma is stored at 1-6^oC in blood refrigerator. Expires 5 days after thawing.
