Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)/Sequencing

Specimen Requirements

Fresh tissue; formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (FFPE); CSF; pleural, abdominal, synovial, peritoneal, and vitreous fluid.

Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue block (FFPE) *Scrolls minimum; three (10 microns). Transfer CSF, tissue, and body fluid specimen into a sterile container and freeze immediately. *Fresh tissue minimum 25 mg. *CSF/Sterile body fluid minimum 0.5 mL.

FFPE: Ambient: Indefinitely; Refrigerated: Indefinitely; Frozen: Unacceptable
